General Information

Q: Where is Fyre Lake Golf Club located?

A: We’re located in Sherrard, Illinois — the only Nicklaus-designed destination course in Illinois with combining championship golf with luxury accommodations.

Q: Do you allow walk-ins?

A: We do not allow walk-ins. Please call the Golf Shop to book a tee time.

Tee Times, Range & Play

Q: Where do I check in for golf? 

A: You can prepay online when booking a tee time or all check in for golf is at the bag drop. 

Q: Can I wear jeans?

A: No. Proper golf attire is required on the course. No cut offs shocked that I have to even say this. 

Q: How do I book a tee time?

A: Tee times can be booked online at fyrelakegolfshop.com or by calling our Pro Shop at (309) 749-9044.

Q: What are your green fees?

A: Rates vary by day:

Monday–Thursday: $89–$119 per round (cart & range included)

Friday–Sunday: $99–$159 per round (cart included)

Q: What’s your pace-of-play policy?

A: We operate on 15-minute tee time intervals to ensure a premium experience and avoid slow rounds. We strive to keep play moving.

Q: Are golf carts included?

A: Yes. Carts are included with green fees and have GPS.

Q: Are range balls included in 2026 when playing at Fyre? 

A: Yes. Range balls will be at the driving range. 

Q: Can I play using my buddy’s clubs if I don’t have clubs?

A: No. Each player must have their own clubs.

Q: Can I rent clubs?

A: Yes. We have premium Callaway rental clubs available for $75. 

Q: Is your range open to the public?

A: No. The range is for golfers with tee times only and is not open for walk-ins or practice sessions without a tee time. 

Q: Do you allow ride alongs? 

A: Yes, Riders can pay $25 for a cart if carts are available. 


Rain Check 

Q: What is your rain check policy?

A: If you choose not to start your round due to inclement weather, please notify the Golf Shop to cancel tee time. 

Q: Can I get a rain check after I’ve teed off?

A: No. Once you’ve teed off, you are considered to have started your round, and rain checks are no longer available.

Q: How do I redeem my rain check?

A: Simply present your rain check voucher when booking your next tee time, either in person or by phone.


Pace of Play 

Q: What is the required pace of play at Fyre? 

A: All rounds prior to 8:00 a.m. are considered Fyre times and are expected to be completed in under 4 hours.

Rounds after 8:00 a.m. are expected to be played in 4 hours and 32 minutes or less.

Q: Why is pace of play important at Fyre?

A: Maintaining a consistent pace ensures an enjoyable experience for every golfer, protects course conditions, and reflects the level of professionalism we uphold at Fyre. 

Q: Why are tee times 15 mins apart? 

A: We value our time and money at Fyre, no one likes to wait on slow golfers we don’t neither should you.

Amenities & Food

Q: Do you have GPS on carts?

A: Yes.

Q: Do you serve food?

A: Yes — food and beverage service is available, for golfers with tee times. 

Q: Can we bring our own food or alcohol?

A: No. Outside food and alcohol are not permitted. 

Events & Outings

Q: Do you host tournaments or corporate outings?

A: Yes! We specialize in group trips, tournaments, and corporate retreats. Contact our team to create a custom package.

Policies

Q: What’s your cancellation policy?

A: Tee time cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled time. Players that don’t cancel their tee times will be banned from Fyre. 

Q: Are carts allowed in the parking lot?

A: No. All carts must remain on the course. Guests drop clubs at the Bag Drop for staff to assign a golf cart for days play. 

Q: What if I damage a golf cart? 

A: You are responsible for all damage to any of the golf carts. 

Q: Do you clean clubs after play?

A: Yes — after your round, bring your cart back to the Bag Drop and our staff will clean your clubs and load them into your car on departure.
